Frequently asked questions

What is “cold-pressed Juice?

Cold-pressing is the process of extracting nutrient rich juice from fresh fruits and vegetables by using high pressure exerted through a hydraulic press or commercial juicer. The low-levels of oxidation during the juicing process does not compromise the integrity of the produce which results in a juice that is fresh, nutrient dense, rich in color, and full of flavor. Cold-pressed juice is a staple of healthy vegetarian and vegan diets.

What is the difference between a regular juicer and a hydraulic juice press?

A normal centrifugal juicer takes a whole fruit or vegetable and liquifies at extremely high speeds, while a hydraulic press actually grinds the produce into a fine pulp, after which it applies thousands of pounds of pressure to this pulp, extracting every ounce of juice that the fruit or vegetable can possibly yield. The results are nutritious, smooth-tasting, organic juices. The pressing action allows for little to no air to be introduced into the juice, which allows each bottle to be kept in sealed, refrigerated containers for up to 5 days with no loss of taste, nutrients, or color.

What is the difference between store-bought juice and Jave Juice Box juice?

Most juices you buy at the store (even the organic juices!) have been pasteurized, depleting almost all of the nutritional value of the juice. At Java Juice Box, we make juice by cold-pressing organic fruits and vegetables. We never pasteurize our juices, so you get all the healthy nutrients and amazing benefits that juice has to offer

My juice separating! Is it bad?

Not at all! Separation is perfectly normal with fresh-squeezed juice. Just give it a shake and enjoy the goodness.

Why does juice only last for five days?

Our juice is fresh. It doesn't contain any preservatives and it has not been pasteurized. This means that freshly-squeezed organic juice is highly perishable, but it's great for your body and it tastes unbelievably good.
